Context

There are many social networks on the market, but there is no single place where people can read other people's opinions and rumors about creators, and where creators can better understand their reputation and the demands of their fans. Fan Reviews is similar to Trustpilot, but in the world of fans and creators.

There are two types of users:

Fans

The main audience. They search for creators using filters, read and write reviews, and participate in discussions and polls. Their main motivation is to find out other people's opinions and share their own.

Creators

Profiles exist as public pages (with the option to claim a page). Creators gain visibility through SEO-optimized pages, and those who have claimed a profile can interact with their page.

Challenge 1 - MVP

I joined the project at an early stage. The first version had weak information architecture, confusing navigation, and an unclear value proposition. Users didn't understand why the site existed or what to do on it.

First website version

The first stage task: build a clear MVP with a simple core flow

The user searches for the creator

Sees their profile with basic info

Leaves reviews, reads others' ones

The main point is that people are interested in other people's opinions, they want to read what other fans write and share their impressions.

Solutions (Challenge 1)

Key decision: Add a Bio tab with general information about the creator (bio, social links, FAQ) to each of the 500K+ profiles. We decided to use this data so that Google would index the pages and they would become a source of organic traffic.

Idea: Each profile = a page that Google will index, and when fans type the creator's name + social network name into Google (there are many such queries), they will see Fan Reviews in the search results on page 1.
